BOOKING

READY TO BEGIN YOUR HOLIDAY?

Costa Brava

106th anniversary

The Baix Empordà is an ideal shire to get to discover with your children. Visit villages like Pals, Monells, Peratallada or Palamós, where you will find plenty to do and suited to all the family. And also a myriad of romantic spots for couples.

“We are people from l’Empordà and we love our land. But foremost, we love to show it to our visitors!”

BEACHES & COVE-BAYS

  • s’Agaró beach or Sant Pol, at 350m from us, with fine sand, turquoise shallow waters. Sailing school. Sant Feliu de Guíxols beach, at 500m and situated at the core of the town, right next to the pleasant main  promenade “Passeig Marítim”. From here depart some boat daily trips.
  • Sa Conca beach, along the seaside path known as Camí de Ronda (1km) that starts at the end of Sant Pol’s beach, it takes you to the amazingly beautiful beach of Sa Conca, almost next to Platja d’Aro, with fine sand and turquoise waters, ideal for families. Between Sant Pol and Sant Feliu there are plenty of idyllic and quiet little turquoise cove-bays.
  • OR rather, the bigger and beautiful cove-bays in Palamós, Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc.

SANT FELIU DE GUÍXOLS: the kernel of the Costa Brava!

  • Seaside villa with a strong commercial, cultural and social offer throughout the year.
  • Natural settings: A coast full of cliffs that break into small coves, wonderful beaches surrounded by natural areas, such as Gavarres and massif mountain of Ardenya.
  • Culture: the town, an ancient fishermen’s village, retains a significant heritage, the exponent of which is a Benedictine monastery and its oldest part, the Roman Porta Ferrada. Thus, it provides a magnificent Art Exhibition that belongs to the Carmen Thyssen Foundation.
  • Web Sant Feliu.

EMPORDÀ, the apple of our eyes, such a beautiful geographical area that it’s been sung by musicians and versed by poets from all over the world. We suggest:

  • La Bisbal de l’Empordà if you would like to buy ceramics.
  • Calella, Llafranc and Palamós, examples of typical fishing villages.
  • Begur, Tossa de Mar and l’Escala.
  • The small inland stone-villages situated at the Golden Triangle or Empordanet.
  • The medieval villages between Empordà and Girona: Sant Martí Vell, Monells and Madremanya.
  • Banyoles and its famous and misterious lake.
  • Figueres and the magnificent Dalí Museum, as well as the house the painter owned in Portlligat, and Gala’s Castle in Púbol.

GIRONA & BARCELONA

  • Girona at 30km from Sant Feliu de Guíxols, its Jewish Quartier, one of the best preserved in Europe, with unique elements in Europe: the Carolingian wall and a single nave Gothic Cathedral (the widest in the world). Not be missed: the Catedral the Creation Tapestry, the Rambla, Sant Pere de Galligants church, Sant Feliu church, Arabian Baths, Houses over the river Onyar, Sant Martí church, the wall’s Promenade and the fantastic views of the city, Sant Nicolau church, etc.
  • Barcelona, at 100km from Sant Feliu de Guíxols, regarded one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europa, it is a 2.000 years-old ancient city that has hosted the Universal Expo twice and one Olympic Games. Barcelona is the indisputed centre for Gaudí’s architecture, a must. It can be reached by public transport (train from Caldes de Malavella or bus from Sant Feliu) or private vehicle through the AP-7. We suggest: Rambles, the Gothic old quartier, La Pedrera, Montjuïc Fountains, the opera house of Gran Teatre del Liceu, Gaudí modernist buildings, Barcelona Gothic Cathedral, the Sagrada Família, the Picasso Museum, the contemporary Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), etc.
